Red Bull – Sweet & Salty

Tomorrow the Red Bull Sweet and Salty Championship will take place at the mythic river of Eisbach in Munich. On the Team Sweet there will be two Fatum Surfboards Riders! Flo Kummer and Tao Schirrmacher, two of the most creative and radical surfers of Eisbach.
I was just on Skype with Tao and he was quite enthusiastic about it and thinks it will be a great event, with everyone from Team Sweet trying harder tricks and harder moves.

Good luck to them!
You can get more info at http://www.redbull.de/sweetandsalty
Flo Kummer and Tao Schirrmacher are part of the FUS Crew.

We’re Back

This is the temporary issue of fatumsurfboards.com and will be Fatum’s online home until we find the time to get the new site we had been planning set up.
The new factory/showroom is on it’s way and we’re taking orders again. Once again we would like to thank the entire surfing community for their support and their help. Big hands for our friends in and around Peniche, who were ready to help even before we knew how to continue…

Gero is ready to finally start shaping again, so order now!

A new home

Yes, we found a new place to start over!

A little closer to Peniche, a little bigger and it needs a lot of work. Our new location is at the Estrada Nacional 114, No 22, Peniche. That’s the first roundabout on your way to Peniche on the IP6. The workshop is just about ready to start cranking out the boards. Gero is already doing some test runs and the shop is currently being built out in front.

Picking up the pieces

Aftermath

We spent the last few days rummaging trough the rubble, that was once our production site. All the blanks and materials are gone, most of the tools and machines are unusable. So far, the fire department cannot say, what exactly caused the fire.

Moving forward

We have our sites on a location for a new factory.

Fire

On Tuesday, the 15th of January, a devestating fire destroyed the Fatum factory and showroom almost completely.

All working materials, tools, blanks, machines, finished and unfinished boards were lost. Only a few boards from the showroom could be saved. Currently we are trying to salvage whatever we can. We cannot say when exactly production can resume.
