Florian is one of Germany’s top riversurfers, as he recently demonstrated by winning the FUS Jam 2010 in Munich’s Eisbach river and in his coverage in the German surfing flick “Keep Surfing”.

Flo started surfing aged 15, after an exchange to Brasil at age 15, after which he started travelling down to the French atlantic coast for good waves. It was after moving Munich to study that he heard of and started surfing the varied riverwaves that the city has to offer, predominantly the Eisbach.

Here he co-founded the FUS, a core team of committed riders that have been pushing riversurfing to a new level, translating tricks from their skateboarding repertoire into the water. With every highwater alert, you will find Flo jumping into the Isar river or other European streams to go for the thrill of an inland wave.

Flo is currenty working towards finishing his full blown Doctor’s degree in Orthopaedics, he stills keeps skating and snowboarding, and enjoys painting large collages to engage his softer side as well.
