Miguel hails from Lagos, Algarve, but you will most likely find this goofy footer surfing at Praia du Amado. Miguel is Fatum’s highest ranked Portuguese surfer, finishing the 2010 season ranked 11th He’s a competitor to watch in coming years as he progresses on the rankings scale.

His 2011 goals are to finish the year as a top 5 on the National Series Open and participate in all Portuguese WQS and maybe some other European contests.
Miguel surfs since he’s 11 years old, and growing up in Lagos with several waves on the Algarve coastline not far away with a great amount of quality waves, it is of little wonder he has developed great technique and surfing style.
If he’s not surfing, you fill find him training in the Gym, spearfishing his dinner, or maybe painting his newest Fatum board.

“Thanks to being able to try many different boards at the beginning of my sponsorship by Fatum, I was able to tell Gero exacty what boards worked for me. The boards he shaped me then allowed me tremendously to progress my surfing to the current level.”
